Hear from Our Change makers
I joined six incredible women at the 1,000-year-old Skitmang Phu monastery to help electrify this remote, foot-access-only site. We stayed four nights, sharing morning prayers and working during the day, surrounded by nature and the warmth of the nuns, GHE team, and fellow participants. This experience left a lasting impact, and I hope to return. The GHE team organized everything perfectly, from clear instructions to food, transport, and accommodation.

Travelling with GHE has been a life-changing experience: I lived with an extrordinary group of Ladhaki nuns, got the chance to understand their culture from their own words and smiles, to love their mountains and to feel as I was contributing with a little solar panel to the quality of their daily life. I also met incredible travelling companions and appreciated GHE’s art of organizing expeditions. It was 2018 and it was the first time I truly reflected on the visible impact of climate change. Grateful forever.
